Together we can make a difference. I know right now you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Your child is slowly pushing you away chasing after independence while you still need and want to be involved. As your student's teacher I am here to keep you involved. Below there is a document called the History of Math, a college paper that I wrote, that you could download. I hope that it will give you insight to my background knowledge as well as information about what Math is and where it came from. Also, there is an article about how to survive middle school. I want to do more than survive middle school, I want to live it and enjoy it! A great place to find information is from the National Middle School Association www.NMSA.org a fantastic website to frequently visit.
